  • I'd like to start out this post by apologizing for getting 5 for Friday up late that last two weeks. My wife and I have a new baby in the house (our third) and that change of schedule/lack of sleep has taken its toll. There were some great articles this week. Tips for Sending Valid Emails from Websites I found especially helpful. Now, here's this week's 5 for Friday.

  • This was the week of quirky design resources and data visualization tools. It's funny how article topics tend to come in waves. I also enjoyed the code from WebM.ag for switching stylesheets on a page dynamically depending on the time of day. It's an idea I've played around with for years but never seem to be able to get a client to go for it. Anyway, here's this week's 5 for Friday.

  • I came across an interesting article this week called The Death of Originality in Design - Coming to Terms. Other than Andy Rutledge's work over at Design View, this has to be one the most well-thought-out articles I've read on design in years. I happen to disagree with its conclusion, but I still appreciate the effort. It brings up and interesting question for the Christian worldview: Is true originality possible? Now, here's this week's 5 for Friday.

  • I'm back from a couple weeks off with a great 5 for Friday list. After updating most of the classic Mirificam Press articles, I'm looking forward to new content in 2010. I've been spending quite a bit of time over the last few month researching visual story-telling and I'll be launching a series of articles on that topic in the next few months. Now, here's this week's 5 for Friday.
