  • This week I ran across a guide to email newsletter design that I found extremely helpful. If you're a web designer that uses standards and well-formed code, designing for an HTML email newsletter can be really frustrating. The 10 Basics of HTML Email Newsletters is definitely one to bookmark and revisit. Here are this week's 5 for Friday.

  • I've spent the last week or so updating and tightening old articles on Mirificam Press (something you wouldn't notice unless you happened to be perusing the archives). It's funny to look back and read some of the tutorial I wrote a couple years ago. It become obvious very quickly how much I've changed and grown in that time. Anyway, here are this week's 5 for Friday.

  • The Mirificam Press Video Series is now complete with all five sessions up and running. I'll be adding the whole series to the Series & Study page shortly for easy access. There were some great articles out there this week. I just had to include the "dual monitor background" article because I have dual monitors and I have never seen a collections of backgrounds specifically for that setup. Now, here's this week's 5 for Friday.

  • This is the fifth and final part in the Mirificam Press Video Series. In part one and part two the definition of design was discussed. Then in part three we looked at the purpose of design. And in part four we considered the question, "What is good design?" Now, in this final session the subject of morality and ethics in design will be considered.

  • It seems that all the design bloggers are back from their summer vacations and producing great content again. It was hard to choose just five this week. • Part one, part two, and part three of this series have built a foundation for understanding design and its purpose. In this fourth part of the series that foundation will be used to answer this question: what is good design?

  • Okay, already finished with part 3 of the Mirificam Press Video Series. Just two more to go. In part four I'll be considering the question, what is good design? I've seen a pretty dramatic increase in questions and comments this week, not only on the video series but on old articles related to worldview as well. It's getting a little more complicated as I field comments and questions, not only on the Mirificam Press site itself, but on Facebook, Twitter, and Vimeo as well. Thanks to everyone who's been invloved. Now, here's this week's 5 for Friday.
